Earth science, made tangible.
Systems integration for a public-facing space that turns Earth-observation data into a large-scale visual experience.
At NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC, the Earth Information Center gives visitors a new way to understand our planet. Scientific visualizations, live data and stories connect observations from space with changes in the world around us.
ITI provided systems integration for the center’s lobby video-wall environment, working with NASA and project partners to connect the display, playback, audio and control systems.
Large-format visualization
A coordinated display environment for scientific dashboards, visualizations and presentation content.
Playback and control
Media playback and operator controls shaped around the exhibit’s content and day-to-day use.
Integrated audio
Audio systems coordinated with the display installation and the architecture of the lobby.
Physical coordination
Display mounting, pathways and architectural millwork considered together as part of the integration.

From data to experience.
The broader Earth Information Center brings together a Hyperwall, the immersive Space for Earth experience, the Earth Pulse light sculpture and an Eyes on Earth interactive kiosk. Each gives visitors a different way to explore NASA’s Earth observations.
ITI’s work focused on the lobby video-wall system. Integration coordination included media-server playback, display layouts, audio processing and operator controls, alongside the physical interfaces between the equipment and architectural finishes.
